UCSF Pharmacy faculty featured in SF Chronicle story on Personalized Medicine

UCSF School of Pharmacy faculty Kathy Giacomini, Kathryn Phillips and Esteban Burchard are featured in a patient-focused story on personalized medicine in the San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009. The piece also includes patients from the UCSF Epilepsy Genome/Phenome Project and Burchard’s study on genomic differences affecting asthma in the Latino population, at San Francisco General Hospital Medical Center. The piece is timed to coincide with the Feb. 5 Personalized Medicine Symposium and Roundtable, which officially launches the new Center for Translational and Policy Research in Personalized Medicine (TRANSPERS),in the UCSF School of Pharmacy.
