Brook Byers is a partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, and has been a venture capital investor, entrepreneur and company builder since 1972.  Mr. Byers has deep healthcare and biotech expertise having formed the first life sciences practice group in the VC profession, and having been the founding president and the chairman of four life-sciences companies. He serves as a director of a number of technology, healthcare and biotechnology companies, including Genomic Health, the creator of the Oncotype DX breast and colon cancer assay test.

As an investor in and advocate for molecular diagnostic testing, Mr. Byers believes this advanced technology can help prevent or mitigate the toll of mankind’s deadliest diseases.
